So good! Best take out I've had in a really long time. Village BBQ was a random uber eats find while searching for local bbq chicken and we've ordered several times now. Bbq chicken, whiting sandwich, ribs, fried chicken, cheese steak, yams, collards, corn. Everything has been really amazing! Can't wait to try their oxtail and jerk chicken next.
The food is delicious!!!! But be ready to wait awhile during peak hours. It's a small place with small staff. Some tables, but really a takeout only place. Food is a little pricey but worth it.
I had to come rave about this place! Village bbq has amazing barbecue and smoked meats. I've had the brisket which was amazing, the jerk barbecue chicken which is my favorite, the fried fish sandwich, the chicken cheesesteak (wow! best I've ever had) which I asked for with a side of bbq sauce and that bbq sauce was phenomenal!!!! Service takes a little while but it's always worth it and the owner/family that runs it is so pleasant and friendly. I'm always happy to support this business. I would say that I've had small issues like my cheesesteak order on DoorDash didn't come with fries when the sandwiches say that they should. Also I'm not big fan of the sides on the menu. But that doesn't take away from my review because the meat is just that great.
IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE 10 STARS I WOULD! this place is wonderful. Food was sooooo good!! Quickly in and out and the service was on point. We happen to be in the area visiting from Washington, D.C. for a tournament and found this GEM! The owner was so polite and mentioned they've been opened for a year, I hope they are open for many more!! If you are in the area and are looking for SOUL FOOD! This is a must try!
For my Leap Day review, I'm happy to mention the uniquely wonderful Village BBQ. To sum it up - they offer AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS BBQ! Since I love ribs, for my first visit I got both kinds - the pork baby backs and beef ribs - plus various sides including baked beans, mac n cheese, sweet potato fries and green beans. The huge beef rib was so flavorful and fall off the bone tender, I never knew beef ribs could be so moist and good. Oh my my. Baby backs were coated in yummy BBQ sauce, tasty and not overly sweet. Of the sides I liked the sweet potato fries and baked beans best. The owner/chef (Randy?) is a very nice person, and my order was ready on time. Can't wait to return for his jerk chicken and other items. Village BBQ - sinfully scrumptious, a must try!!
I ordered delivery. 1 Turkey Wing, Mac 'n Cheese & Green Beans OMG!! Absolute PERFECTION! Everything was seasoned beautifully. The Turkey was extremley succulent, the Mac 'n Cheese was the BEST I've EVER tasted and the Green Beans were highly seasoned & OFF THE CHAIN. I just read about Village BBQ on FB the other day. I never knew they existed!! The GREAT part is...they are only 5 minutes from my home!! You better believe, I'll be spreading the word!!
A great addition to our area. I ordered the four piece chicken dinner and got four enormous drumsticks and thighs. The sides of macaroni and collard greens were A+ as well. We can't wait to move on to their wings and brisket. A fine first impression.
